Aside from the sun being good for the soul, it also provides a much needed dose of Vitamin D for healthy bones and muscles. However, over exposure to UV radiation is the major cause of skin cancer globally, and sadly, Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world with two in three Australians developing some form of skin cancer before the age of 70.
Slapping on some water resistant high UV sunscreen and covering up with appropriate clothing and swimwear will help protect future generations of kids from over exposure to the sun.
The Skin Cancer Foundation considers clothing to be the most safe and effective defence in the fight against skin cancer and aging. A UPF rating label on clothing shows that the fabric has been tested and how much sun protection it provides. All of our swimwear has been independently tested by the good folks at ARPANSA, an independent Government body. They have been proven to provide UPF50+ protection against harmful UVA/UVB rays.
Sun protection doesn't have to be a challenge or a substitute for style.
